Cocktail of the Week: Give Peas a Chance
Posted by Paul Drury
08. Nov, 2013
This week at New Gold Mountain we’re pushing the boundaries of conventional cocktail ingredients with our drink “Give Peas a Chance”.
We’re using Snow Peas, 666 Tasmanian Vodka, Sake, Salt, Pepper and Lemon. The addition of salt and pepper in this drink function to highlight the vegetal notes in the drink, a small amount of a potent flavour changing the way the key note comes out in a drink.
As vegetables come more to the forefront of the cocktail world, expect to see more from New Gold Mountain.
30ml Snow Pea Infused 666
30ml junmai daiginjo sake
15ml Fresh lemon juice
15ml simple syrup
Pinch salt
Pinch pepper
Shake with ice and strain into a rocks glass with ice.
Garnish with a snow pea and enjoy!
