Photographer of the week: Elke Meitzel
Posted by Paul Drury
22. Mar, 2013
Elke Meitzel grew up in Germany and after a long period of travel ended up in London, where she lived and worked as a photographer for years. During that time Elke’s work appeared in places such as the National Portrait Gallery, the Barbican Art Centre and the Architectural Biennale Venice.
Six months ago, Elke moved to Melbourne and is discovering a new world of colour and light, and is inspired by pop culture, story telling, Twin Peaks and Scandinavian noir.
She’s already shot for Frankie and Triple J, and is currently working on a series about suburbia.
