The Bear Brass Cabaret

Did you know Melbourne used to be called Bear Brass? Sometimes I think about being called a Bear Brassian instead of a Melburnian. Don’t get me started on if we’d been called Batmania.

Other times I think about doing new things, and that includes cabaret. As part of the Melbourne Cabaret Festival the Caravan of the Bear is bringing, quote, un-quote “erotic turns of transformation, enchanted creatures of the air, flights of fancy, sirens of song, incredible human feats, and of course, magic and wonderment.”

Even if two of those things happen it will be worthy of the name Bear Brass.

WHEN: Wed 18 to Sat 21 July. Doors open 7pm, showtime 8pm
WHERE: Red Bennies, Level 1, 373 Chapel Street, South Yarra
WEB: facebook.com/events
Tickets: $20 presale; $25 on the door
