Senser

From the mind of Brittanie Shipway, Senser brings you a whirlwind of a storyline complemented by incredible showmanship.
Creative and fun, the concept behind Senser is that it takes the audience to a dystopian future of a world without music, dancing or singing. This cabaret performance encompasses everything you want: a creative script with laughter, singing, dancing and an impeccable cast.
The talented cast consists of Luisa Scrofani as Ava and Adam Noviello as Ava’s Guardian. Both performers can sing, dance and act, showcasing their plethora of skills through their incredible delivery.
Adam plays two characters, switching between the two without a hiccup. The range of Adam’s performance is spectacular as they transition from the two characters with extremely different traits. Luisa’s character development is evident throughout the cabaret; from a brooding young woman to one who has discovered herself by tapping into her past.
A script of speculative fiction gives the audience a magnificent storyline to follow, complemented by an original score by Jess Newman and Brittanie Shipway. Numbers including ‘Walk The Tightrope’, ‘Remember The Melody’ and ‘Mister Sister’ will have you smiling with delight.
Senser is a cabaret at heart, but there could have been a few more musical numbers to be titled as such. With so much to work with, in terms of the incredibly conceptual idea, Senser could be on Broadway with a few more years of work.
This interactive play brings the audience along for the ride as the performers include members throughout the performance. Expect to be spotlighted, serenaded to, engaged and included.
Showing at Theatreworks, Senser will have you smiling, crying and gasping – do not miss this incredible performance.
