10 Years of Wine & Cheese Fest

Save the date! The 5th of March 2023 is the 10-year anniversary of Melbourne’s Wine and Cheese Fest. Experience over fifty of Victoria’s finest wineries, cheese and artisan producers all under the one roof. With free tastings and masterclasses, it’s sure to be a gouda time for lovers of vino and fromage!

The philosophy of ‘keeping it local’ has been a part of the Wine & Cheese Fest story from the very beginning. Its conception was to be the happy medium between the weekend farmers’ market and lavish wine tasting events. The success of the sell-out inaugural event in 2014 made the festival what it is today – a premier event that is marked in every foodie and wine lover’s calendar.

Port Melbourne’s Timber Yard will house the finest producers and providores – each with the best they have to offer – including That’s Amore Cheese, Schulz Organic Cheeses, The BoatShed Cheese, The Cheese Rebels, Dal Zotto Wines, Rob Dolan Wines, Pizzini Wines, John Gehrig, Santolin Wines, Red Edge, Newbridge Wines and Mount Avoca Organic Winery.

Learn techniques from experienced cheesemongers and chefs, get your feet dirty in the Grape Stomp Competition or just enjoy the vibe of live music, DJs and roving artists. Kids are also catered for in the dedicated kids’ zone, complete with face painting and interactive games.

The festival will run two sessions:

11.30am–3pm
3.30pm–7pm.

Each attendee will receive a stemless festival glass and a tote bag at the entrance, and there are three experience levels to choose from:

General Admission: from $44

Total Wine Indulgence (TWI): from $89
At the Wine and Cheese Fest bar, ticket holders receive a voucher redeemable for one bottle of boutique wine and three glasses of wine.

VIP: $150
Ticket holders can attend all parts the festival and enjoy FREE tastings for the whole day. Exclusive access to the VIP room upstairs, with a VIP Masterclass ‘Tasting Museum Wines’ being held at 2pm. Each VIP attendee will also receive a Riedel Overture Glass and a tote bag at the entrance.

It’s a one-day festival people and early birds get a discount, so you feta get going and book yourself some tix!
