Tired of Melbourne’s ground-floor food scene? Dine above the clouds at Strato Melbourne. Offering a multi-sensory journey that will ignite your entire body, the Sky Bar experience truly outdoes many in Melbourne.

Situated 40 floors high in Melbourne’s Southbank, from conception to completion, the Strato Melbourne experience is unlike anything in our city. Welcomed by staff on the bottom floor, your journey begins once you enter the elevator.

After exiting the elevator, you are greeted by incredibly hospitable waitstaff. There are two entrances: one to Sky Bar to drink and view the stunning Melbourne skyline and one entrance for Strato, to dine and gaze upon the city lights.

Strato bleeds luxury with ambient mood lighting and an art-deco-inspired design. The endless windows give you room to breathe and relax. Although the height in Melbourne city does not compare to the likes of Dubai, Shanghai, New York and so many others, Sky Bar will make you feel as though you’ve embarked on a journey, oceans away.

Housing a delectable menu of traditional french items with modern twists, each delicate dish was prepared and presented immaculately. Each season a new degustation menu is on offer at Sky Bar. The Strato menu “evolves with the passing of each season.” What is on offer in September 2022 will have your tastebuds singing in delight.

Serving up an experience from your eyes to your taste buds, the tasting menu of the chef’s selection includes Pasture Beef Carpaccio with pickled mushrooms, sliced shallots, micro rocket, foie gras truffle vinaigrette and pecorino, which is followed by Roasted Scallops with cucumber ketchup and sea greens.

You are then presented with the palette cleanser of the day, followed by Wild Mushroom Risotto with chive mascarpone quenelle, truffle oil, Reggiano and the last main of Wagyu Black Opal Tenderloin Marble Score 5+ with asparagus, cauliflower foam and sauce diable.

To finish off your incredible meal, indulge in the Smoked Dark Chocolate Cremeux with burnt vanilla ice cream and cacao nibs crumble. Vegetarian? Strato have you covered with a meat-free version of their degustation for you.

Accompany your incredible meal with a Sky High Martini or a Velvet Bellini. The extensive wine and drinks list will have you in awe but if you’re unsure, the incredibly attentive staff will assist you with your choice.

Get in quick, we predict this one will have long waitlists!
