Cheryl and Chardee (like the wine) are stuck in the ‘80s – even though they weren’t actually born until the ‘90s! 

Get Sweaty with Cheryl and Chardee is a fun little number on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival program, bringing the show to Melbourne after a successful stint at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Starring Alicia Norton and Mikayla Lynch, and inspired by the very best workout videos of the ‘80s, the show is full of ridiculous exercises and absurd stories to keep you giggling throughout.

The self-proclaimed, semi-professional aerobics dance instructors keep the audience involved from their seats, introducing them to aerobics legends such as Jane Fonda or their beloved cast of Aerobics Oz Style and explore some underlying issues in the duo’s relationship through ridiculous exercises and absurd stories.

These ladies do a fantastic job of (kind of) doing aerobic exercises on a stage roughly two-metres long and one-metre wide, while drinking what may or may not be alcohol on stage. Bravo ladies, bravo.

If you love lycra, leg warmers, crimped hair and often lament on the good old days of Aerobics Oz Style but don’t actually like doing aerobics, this could be the show for you.
