On now: European Night Market

Experience a different take on Christmas in July with The European Night Market. Back for its fifth year, the market transforms Madame Brussels Lane into a winter wonderland every Friday night in July, inspired by classic European Christmas markets. Feel toasty and warm with a cup of mulled wine and an amazing selection of tasty treats, such as sweet and savoury artisan crepes, spiced rum hot chocolates, incredible paella and mouth-watering fondue cheese.

Wander down the laneway and just try to resist the delicious smells coming from stalls such as Bavarian Bangers, Chooh La La and Eat Cannoli. And it’s not all about the incredible food and drink; although that in itself is enough temptation! You can even get discounted cuts from the Men’s Barber Shop and cute scarves, beanies and gloves from Spoilt. Grab a spot under a heater and enjoy The Cobbler’s Last spinning decks (and shining shoes) and a selection of theatrical acts roaming about the laneway.

The market is vibrant and busy, there’s quite a lot of seating but it does get crowded, particularly at the start of the laneway where the dozen or so stalls where people are lining up for food. Be sure to head there straight from work to avoid the crush.

The European Night Market is the perfect post-work venue to soak up some tunes and savor the yummy selection of European-inspired food and drink.
