What do Rooney Mara, Bill Nighy and Katharine Hepburn have in common? Besides their enormous talent, these big names in Hollywood will feature at the Young at Heart Film Festival. Kicking off in Melbourne from Thursday, 20 to 26 April, the Young at Heart Film Festival is the only film festival in the world catering to film lovers and devotees over 60 years of age.

The spectacular programme includes a mix of intense dramas, cracking comedies and riveting documentaries. Milk Bar Mag would love to reward our devoted cinema lovers – young or old alike – by giving away 10 FREE double passes to the film festival!

Screening at Palace Cinemas in Brighton Bay and Balwyn, don’t miss your chance to watch Their Finest, a ‘relentlessly charming romantic comedy’, starring Bill Nighy, Gemma Arterton and Jake Lacy, or The Secret Scripture, a film that unpacks Ireland’s political and religious tensions, starring the always-elegant Vanessa Redgrave and Rooney Mara. There is also a special retrospective screening of The Lion in Winter, considered as ‘one of the most revered films of all time’, starring Katharine Hepburn in one of her Oscar-winning performances.
