Open Space

Open Space, now in its second year, is a free public event held by Business Events Week that brings together influential Australian leaders to speak on innovation—the event’s theme.

This year’s line-up will not disappoint. Thought-provoking talks will be presented by agIdeas founder and renowned designer, Dr. Cato AO; Leo Burnett CEO and panellist on ABC’s Gruen, Todd Sampson, along with leading scientist at CSIRO, Dr. Cathy Foley.

Each will take to the Plenary stage at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on 20 Feb. Speakers will share their specialist knowledge with the public on their respective fields of design, advertising and science.

But it’s not just another passive sit-in-class kind of event. Attendees can get involved in Q & A sessions and online conversations via social media.

Innovation will all be on show at the MCEC’s foyer with its urban-inspired installation featuring recycled milk crates and vertical gardens.

After the talks, hungry minds and stomachs will be content with the complimentary hawker-style food market, courtesy of MCEC’s talented kitchen team.

So feed your mind at Open Space.

For more info, or to register for your free ticket visit openspace.mcec.com.au. Check it out on MCEC’s Facebook, TwitterInstagram, and LinkedIn.
