Cocktail of the week: The Bearded Lady
Posted by Paul Drury
22. Nov, 2013
For our new summer list Mr Wow’s Emporium will be delivering an ode to your favourite carnies. Our cocktail of the week features the luscious silken curves of a woman – a bearded woman that is.
Think of it as a delicious sherbet bomb with hints of almond, topped with a luscious sour cherry beard to give you a pink moustache, just in time for Movember.
The Bearded Lady is like your favourite childhood memories of the carnival with a seriously boozy twist.
Ingredients
30ml Plantation 3 Stars White Rum
15ml Yellow Chartreuse
15ml House Made Orgeat (almond and orange blossom syrup)
15ml Fresh Orange Juice
15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
Sparkling wine
Sour Cherry Fairy Floss
Shake and double strain rum, chartreuse, orgeat, orange and lemon. Add fresh ice and top with sparkling wine. Give her a beard with a generous crown of fairy floss.
