Melbourne likes lots of nice things. Friends and food are two of the biggest, aside from the weather, complaining about MYKI and coffee of course.

This week Fitzroy restaurant Hammer and Tong is hosting the first in a series of pop up dinners that sees three chefs swapping spaces and sharing their culinary chops with their friends. And regular mugs like you and I.

Over the next three weeks Matt Forbes (pastry chef ninja who has worked with Shannon Bennett, at Maze and Mr Hive Kitchen & Bar), Clinton McIver (ex-sous chef Vue De Monde now head chef at Champions Grill bistro, Clayton’s Bowls club) and Jack Ingram (current sous chef at Bistro Vue) will be whipping up four-course feasts for $60 per head.

Matt Forbes kicks off festivities tonight with a four course dessert menu. Good for all sweet tooths and training for the silly season.
