Photographer of the week: Lilli Waters
Posted by Steph Wade
28. Jun, 2013
Born in the bush of New South Wales, Lilli Waters is a freelance photographic artist now based in Melbourne.
Lilli has achieved much in her career so far; with highlights including being a finalist for the Head On Portrait Prize 2013 and Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards for the past two years.
Her ‘She Raw’ project is dedicated to preventing violence against women, which has seen over $1000 raised for the White Ribbon Foundation.
Lilli’s current solo show is on at the World Trade Centre in Melbourne; exhibiting survivors from the Black Saturday bush fires. Participants are invited to donate works to the Kinglake project group exhibition, with proceeds helping to conserve the Kinglake Youth Centre.
Lilli will also exhibit works at the ‘Odyssey’ exhibition at Brick Lane Gallery in London in the coming weeks – she’s certainly one to watch.
