Photographer of the week: Georgia Cavanagh

After studying a Bachelor of Communication Design at Swinburne in Melbourne, photographer Georgia Cavanagh made the move to The Smoke – aka London, to pursue her dream of food photography.

“Styling and art directing my first professional project at an agency has been my most exciting artistic moment so far” Georgia tells us, which also includes shooting projects for Broadsheet Melbourne and the London Foodies Festival.

Now perched happily in London, when asked what inspires her each day to photograph, Georgia quips that time is of the essence.

“I don’t want to miss a particular moment; when elements fall into place in a way you know won’t happen again is when the magic happens. Oh and food, delicious food!” she says. As for the food photos, natural light is key to the overall composition.
