Photographer of the week: Filip Konikowski

Filip Konikowski is a photographer shooting portraits across the creative industries in Melbourne, from artists, writers, musicians, fashion designers to events including the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Inspired daily by the source of life that is the sun, Konikowski asserts that his talent has not been contrived by a static education.

“I come from a family of artists, so the creative gene was in me from day one. I never studied at an institution, however I’ve had the privilege of assisting some of the best photographers in Australia and that’s allowed me the educate myself,” Filip tells us.

“Taking shots at the beginning was the most exciting thing. These days more time goes into concepts and pre-production, but in saying that when everything comes together it’s very satisfying.”
