Photographer of the week: Marie Babeau
Posted by Steph Wade
22. Feb, 2013
Freelance photographer and sometimes graphic designer Marie Babeau resides in Poitiers, France, and often uses black and white vintage stills from her childhood as inspiration for her work.
“I try to keep to my eccentric world” she tells us. So it’s no wonder that Marie’s self-proclaimed nostalgic personality is the gateway to her alternative perspective on everyday life; a view that resonates through photos that focus on a look less current.
This perspective gives Babeau a knack for capturing intricate details that others would often miss: obsolete objects, a particular detail, and occurrences from our past for which we owe our present.
