Melbourne lad Alexander JE Bradley has worn many hats in his time – producer, filmmaker, photographer – and he reckons switching to the liberal arts-based Swinburne Senior Secondary College for his final two years of schooling shaped the interesting path his life would take.

After studying media and photography Alexander wrote and directed plays for Melbourne Fringe and later shot a short film, which won the Best Narrative and Overall First prize at the ACMI Die Gesis Festival. Following a year’s stint living in Tokyo, Alexander returned to Melbourne and worked in film on projects including Kenny.

His first photographic exhibition followed, which featured a series of photographs from the abandoned La Petite Ceinture railway in Paris. Since then Alexander’s moved to Paris where he is currently based, working as a camera operator and producer. His work has since appeared in international magazine covering everything from chocolate and fine art nudes to abandoned tunnels.

Many of the photos shown above are from The Great Spectacle of the Milking, Alexander’s first major solo work that involves Alexander throwing milk at people. We dig it.
