Made In Melbourne Film Festival

Though most film festivals showcase films from all over the world, the Made In Melbourne Film Festival will seem very exclusive to the rest of the world. And who better than Melburnians to make movies about our fair city?

Screening quality flicks over two nights, MIM made the excellent choice to screen at The Astor Theatre, the beating heart of Melbourne’s film culture. Viewers will get to watch movies the way they should be; in a grand old theatre on the big screen. From WWII thrillers like Resistance and the award-winning prison tale The Wilding to local rom-com Cold Showers.

The Order Of Melbourne will take over movie duties on the second night of the festival, where pizzas, booze and Q&As with the filmmakers will be happening. With tales of sibling rivalry gone mad in Tough, the poetic Pink Moon (made by a Year 12 student), and mini action blockbuster Broken Superman.

Viewers can also vote for their favourite films, giving the winning auteur the chance to win $1000. At only $10 per ticket, these flicks are guaranteed to have some familiar sights in the background from Federation Square to St Kilda Beach.
