Are you looking to mix up your Christmas get-togethers this year with something fun and festive? Gather your mates, family or co-workers for Tinsel – a Christmas-themed drag dinner and theatre show!

Playing at the historic Mission to Seafarers building on the Docklands end of Flinders Street throughout December, Tinsel is a night of festive song, dance and comedy from the team at Scratch Arts.

Drag queens Vin Tagè and Uff the Queen will grace the stage in sparkles, corsets and tinsel-galore for their high-energy performances of remixed Christmas classics between dinner courses.

Award-winning comedian and self-confessed ‘short king’ lover Lou Wall also takes the stage with a good ol’ tickle of the ivories to perform her hilariously catchy and provocative original songs.

Your ticket includes a three-course banquet-style feast prepared by award-winning chef Jamie Donovan. The menu features some zhuzhed-up hummus with flatbreads, mushroom arancini and salmon and cucumber treats for entrée. For mains, enjoy an around-the-world feast including goodies such as pumpkin and couscous salad, slow-cooked lamb, polenta and tandoori chicken. To finish the night on a sweet note, you’ll enjoy rich chocolate pecan pie, pavlovas and a fruit platter.

Very affordably priced drinks are also available to purchase at the bar, including a couple of Christmas-themed cocktails if you’re in the mood.

When the formal entertainment finishes for the night the DJ will invite you onto the dance floor to keep the party going.

Tinsel performances are on 14, 15, 20, 21, 22 and 23 December – but get in quick as some shows are already sold out!

Early bird tickets: $95; General admission: $125
