Moonlight Cinema: Gold Grass experience

I’ve had the time of my life…

No, I never felt like this before,

Yes, I swear,

It’s the truth,

And I owe it all to the Moonlight Cinema!

As people flock towards Central Lawn in Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Garden, the energy is palpable! The air is fresher, everyone is smiling, and the summer vibes are in overdrive! Yes, another season – 25th to be exact – of the Moonlight Cinema is almost over. Greeted by a giant movie screen overarching a sea of bean bags, tonight, the cult classic, Dirty Dancing, is about to begin.

‘After a year spent mostly indoors, Australians are celebrating outdoor,’ Luke Mackey, Director of Entertainment Australia, Event Cinemas said. ‘2020 has been a tough year for everyone, making Moonlight the perfect way to come together and celebrate a summer of movies under the stars and provide audiences a much-needed escape.’

As Australia’s largest outdoor cinema, Moonlight Cinema offers a combination of picturesque parklands, star-filled nights, and a wide range of content from blockbusters to cult classics. This season has featured Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, Promising Young Woman, The Notebook, and Bridget Jones’ Diary, just to name a few. Moonlight Cinema is the perfect opportunity to chill out with loved ones while enjoying a movie in a beautiful outdoor setting, all for the low price of $20!

For a most memorable experience, make sure to purchase Gold Grass tickets. You’ll be spoiled as your ticket includes a reserved premium viewing location (nobody puts baby or you in the corner 😏) as well as a super comfortable bean bag bed, but that’s not all, folks! You will also be showered with goodies, including complimentary Garnier products – perfect for a night of pampering, which include cleansing water, hydra bomb eye tissue mask, hair mask as well as bottles of water, and of course, every movie necessity, popcorn. Another, hard-to-resist perk of gold grass tickets is the easily attainable service from the friendly wait staff, and Tia Maria espresso martinis are made fresh on-site, so I don’t mind if I do!

There are an extensive range of drinks, snacks, and hot food available for purchase from an array of food trucks/vans (Nacho Loaded Fries – thank me later!). Otherwise, you can assemble your own gourmet picnic spread. So, pack up those picnic baskets and get ready for an unforgettable evening. But wait, there’s more! You can also bring along your pet/s: Shut.  p. And. Take. My. Money.

Festival meets IMAX meets picnic = Moonlight Cinema. Moonlight Cinema ends this week so book now for an experience like no other!

Somewhere Else video sings of summer

It almost sounds like the premise of a reality TV show: pile a bunch of artists in a bus for seven days, send them across Mexico and see what happens.
