Free From Show and Allergy Show ticket giveaway

As a Melburnian, I’m sure many of us can appreciate the ever-growing multitude of dietary requirements we have come to be acquainted with in a city as gastronomical as ours. From gluten free to FODMAP-friendly, these terms are often thrown about carelessly, despite the dire health concerns it may cause for some. The buck doesn’t stop with food. The move towards more educated, ethical and sustainable choices in the products we use on ourselves and around the household is also ever-expanding.

This July, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will be hosting Australia’s first ever Free From Show and Allergy Show over the course of three days catering to allergies and food intolerances. The events were created to empower and educate the increasing number of Australians with allergies, food intolerances and lifestyle preferences.

The Free From Show will focus on dietary needs and exclusion lifestyles including gluten, dairy, nuts, parabens, fructose and sugar, egg, soy, GMO and cruelty. It has partnered up with Asthma Australia, Monash University – FODMAP and Yum. Gluten Free. to provide education on allergens, sustainability and eco-friendliness in our food.

The Allergy Show, which is supported by Allergy and Anaphylaxis Australia, Asthma Australia and The Eczema Association of Australia Inc., gives you the chance to hear from leading experts on allergen-related topics like food labelling, infant feeding and thunderstorm asthma.
