Book Club ticket giveaway

Who knew Diane Keaton, Mary Steenburgen, Candice Bergen and Jane Fonda were all fans of Mr Christian Grey? In the upcoming film Book Club the lives of four lifelong friends are turned into a tizzy when their book club gorges on the infamous and steamy Fifty Shades of Grey. In cinemas Thursday, 23 August, the hilarious romantic comedy also stars Andy Garcia, Don Johnson and Craig T. Nelson. 

The group includes Diane (Diane Keaton), who is recently widowed; Vivian (Jane Fonda), who enjoys a string of meaningless flings with men; Sharon (Candice Bergen), a federal judge still yet to throw the gauntlet on the dissolution of her marriage; and Carol (Mary Steenburgen), who is yearning for intimacy as she faces a slump in wedded bliss. Inspired to make the next chapter of their lives the best chapter yet, they each pledge to find their own magic in the world. From getting a second chance at love to rekindling old flames, each woman toys with the “what’s next” in their life. 

Intelligent, feel-good, charming and soaked in double entendres, Book Club plays to the strengths of its veteran cast. Steenburgen’s delivery of “Are you thinking about tying me up?” to her distracted husband and Keaton’s flat-out denial of reading the novel in question are stand-out scenes that will have you giggling through the film.
