The Gramercy Social has a comfortable, easy atmosphere. The outside sitting area is the main attraction, much larger than its inside counterpart. It’s open to the street, separated only by some glass partitions, but it’s not too loud. The tables are close enough together to be cosy, but it’s not too crowded. The red feature wall and cactus plants add colour to the otherwise sleek and simple space. It’s a well thought out and balanced eating area, designed to get you comfy.

The menu is loaded with American-dream diner style food. The small share plates for starters steal the show; the perfectly tender pretzel encrusted calamari and the fun DIY brisket tacos were Milk Bar Mag’s favourites. The bistro has an impressive range of hot sauces on hand too if that’s your thing.

Watch out for burger favourites the Meat Packer, featuring a double patty and maple bacon, and Lower East Side, with a classic New York combo of sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and pastrami. All of the burgers come with a spicy macancini popper (mac and cheese arancini) and perfect shoe string fries. Pair your meal with a Moon Dog craft pale ale, or the Mr Mick Pinot Grigio for wine lovers. The young at heart will love the Yankees spiked shake, a childhood favourite cookies and cream milkshake with a little something extra.

The all-day dining menu means that you can live your American diner dream any time of the day.
