Now in its fifth year, Pause Fest will be kicking off real soon, something all the techies in Melbourne are surely anticipating.
There will be international speakers from such giant websites/digital platforms as The Lego Movie animation studio, Buzzfeed, PayPal, Eventbrite, and many more will talk about all sorts of things from advertising, design, animation, not-for-profit, commerce, web and post-production.
There are naturally plenty of great events to check out, but the headlining events are VFX Jam where teams will enter a two-day competition to create a visual arts piece that will be judged by industry professionals; the Tech Bar where people can see free demonstations, parties and workshops; the Web For Good conference on creative superheroes that use technology for good; the Storytelling On The Open Web conference lead by producers and editors behind cult-followed outlets such as This American Life, Newsmodo and Buzzfeed.
Tickets for the festival are $99, which is great for you to see all these top events.
