Not another Valentine’s Day event at SO:ME

Valentine’s Noir is pretty much everything Valentine’s Day is not.

If Valentine’s Day is all about the colour red, chocolates and heart shaped goods, Valentine’s Noir evokes a much darker and sombre mood.

To capture this mood SO:ME Space — the fashion and lifestyle collective showcasing the work of up-and-coming Australian designers at South Melbourne Market – will be adorned with displays of black and blood red blooms.

Melbourne based jewellery and accessory designers Stone Glint and Bone will be producing exclusive pieces especially for the occasion based around the theme ‘til death do us part’. So expect to see daggers, bones and broken hearts.

Doesn’t this sound like a lot more fun than Valentine’s Day? Valentines Noir takes over SO:ME Space for ten days and it all starts with a soiree this Saturday.

WHERE: SO:ME Space at South Melbourne Market (corner Coventry and Cecil Streets, South Melbourne).
WHEN: Starts Sat 4 Feb from 3pm – 6pm and runs until February 14. Note that South Melbourne Market is only open Wednesday through to Sunday.
