A Pop-up Truffle Farm Comes to Mister Bianco

Ditch the gloves, the Wellies and the mud this winter because Mister Bianco is bringing the truffle farm to you. Kicking off from Monday, 5 to Sunday, 11 August, the favourite Kew eatery invites diners to experience a truffle farm – right there in the restaurant! Milk Bar is on hand to give you a run down of the events that you wouldn’t want to miss.

Mister Bianco owner Joseph Vargetto has gone to great lengths to provide punters with an authentic country-meets-city dining experience. Firstly, he has teamed up with “The Truffle Queen” herself, Rachel Truscott, to select the finest truffles for the occasion. Secondly, the main dining room known will be transformed to a legitimate truffle farm with soil and trees. Thirdly, guests will meet a truffle farmer and their sidekick dog to learn about the growing and hunting process, before they watch the truffle dog find a truffle.  If this sounds appealing, then get in quick, because it’s available between 7pm to 9pm each day.

Your food options are plentiful. A delectable a la carte menu featuring the best local Victorian and Western Australian truffles is on offer on Monday, then Wednesday to Saturday evenings. The star of Mister Bianco’s offerings is the Il Finale Truffle Dinner on Tuesday, 6 August. Guests can experience the truffle farm, navigate a sumptuous five-course truffle-orientated degustation menu with matching wines, while being serenaded by an opera singer. Delicious food + matching wines + classical music = ultimate date night.

If you prefer to stay indoors this winter and want to get your hands on some truffles, then Mister Bianco is the place to be next week.
