Kyneton Music Festival

Over three days, from Friday, 25 to Sunday, 27 October, the small township of Kyneton will host an array of extremely talented artists and bands. Kyneton Music Festival, the annual Party in the Park, has once again managed to attract a broad selection of musicians to perform in what will be a weekend of community and creativity.

St. Paul’s Park will serve as the focal point of the festival, and the main stage will be set-up there. In addition, Kyneton’s own favourite music venue, Major Tom’s, will be hosting a series of the more intimate acts on its beautiful Bluestone Theatre stage on the Friday night. While Kyneton is a small place, the festival’s spirit is large. Piper Street and St. Paul’s Park burst at the seams with energy over the weekend and with the line-up even more impressive than previous years’, it is looking to be the best one to date. There will be a small fleet of food trucks in the park and Piper Street itself is lined with a fantastic selection of local eateries. You’ll be able to work up an appetite dancing, without any reservations.

The line-up has something for everybody:

  • Ali Barter
  • Stonefield
  • Jade Imagine
  • The Putbacks
  • Hobsons Bay Coast Guard
  • Martin Frawley
  • Black Cab, Glitoris
  • Buried Feather
  • Ben Salter
  • Ryan Downey
  • Cry Club
  • Quivers
  • Murmurmur
  • Cool Sounds
  • Pleasure Coma
  • Rosa Maria
  • Matthew Colin
  • Ross McLennan and the New World

Over the weekend, Kyneton blooms like a flower in spring. Last year’s atmosphere was tangible, fresh and electric. The festival going from strength to strength has inspired festival partner Triple R to pour even more of their resources into putting together an event that both promotes and exemplifies creativity. This will be the eighth year running, and music lovers from all across the state will descend on the beautiful Kyneton township for a weekend of music, joy and inspiration.

Somewhere Else video sings of summer

It almost sounds like the premise of a reality TV show: pile a bunch of artists in a bus for seven days, send them across Mexico and see what happens.
