BeerFest is Australia’s longest running, original beer festival and its back and bigger than ever. On Saturday, 2 March, crowds scuttled to Catani Gardens in St Kilda, Melbourne’s beach capital, and soaked up the stunning sunshine.

This unique event showcased over 300 unique, exotic and small-batch craft beers, ciders, cocktails and wines. Exhibitionists include Gage Roads Brewing Co., Panhead Custom Ales, The Ginger Kid Ginger Beer, Burnley Brewing, Temple Brewing and oh so much more! Melbourne’s most decadent local street food were on full display, too: Burn City Smokers, Flamin Skewers, Melbourne Paella Company, Bavarian Bangers as well as G-Free Donuts.

As if the beer and food wasn’t enough, BeerFest produces the goods with its sensational musical headline act. Sneaky Sound System belted their late naughties tunes ‘Pictures’, ‘UFO’ and ‘Kansas City’. Aussie music legends Andy Murphy, Le Fleur, Emma Volard also joined the impressive lineup! In the mood for comedy? Australia’s renowned comedians joined in on the fun including Randy (The Project, The Weekly, Good News Week), Lehmo (The Project, Have You Been Paying Attention)Kirsty Webeck (Tonightly) and Josh Earl (Spicks and Specks, OXFAM Gala, Don’t You Know Who I Am?).

Alongside all the good food and entertainment, the festival offered an up-close and personal look into each brewer’s individual signature style through masterclasses, live demonstrations and plenty of tastings.

We hope you stayed hydrated at Melbourne’s BeerFest.
