Popular Prahran Market hotspot Wilson & Market draw back the curtain with a series of Meet the Maker events kicking off on Saturday, 26 August, showcasing seven wines from acclaimed Australian winemaker Mac Forbes. Milk Bar Mag has the run down of what you can expect and for wine enthusiasts, this is the event for you!

In what is considered the ultimate wine and cheese party, you can taste local wines 2016 Yarra Valley Chardonnay, 2016 Coldstream Pinot Noir luc and 2016 Woori Yallock Chardonnay paired with delicious cheeses from Yarra Valley Dairy and Stone and Crow Cheese Company. Coinciding with Forbes’ mantra, ‘honest wines that reflect extraordinary sights’, the wines selected come from one-of-a-kind vineyards with that quintessential Australian edge.

If a rotisserie lunch is up your alley then it would be worth checking out the delicious Sunday rotisserie lunch menu, where you can choose a rotisserie meal with a luxe litre of wine or craft beer. The two roasts to choose from are the wood roasted Milawa chicken, winter bread salad and pancetta or the peppered rib of Cape Grim beef with beetroot and horeradish marmalade.

Opened earlier this year and owned by famed chef Paul Wilson, Wilson & Market has generated considerable buzz and is home to a cafe, tuckshop, a wine store, a luxe bar and a brasserie. You know where to find us this weekend!

Somewhere Else video sings of summer

It almost sounds like the premise of a reality TV show: pile a bunch of artists in a bus for seven days, send them across Mexico and see what happens.
