Many immigrants from Greece moved to Melbourne in the late 20th century, and as a result there are more Greek people in Melbourne than any other city in the world outside of Greece. Naturally, all these people brought their culture to Melbourne, and one such thing being their music. The documentary A Family Affair tells the tale of the Xylouris family and the love of playing Greek music that has been passed on from generation to generation.
Milk Bar Mag are happy to be able to give away two double passes to A Family Affair, which will premiere on Thursday July 16th at ACMI Theatre at Federation Square, and can be used for any session of the film screening at ACMI. All you have to do is send an email to matt@milkbarmag.com with your name and address. The lucky first two people to ask will be the winners, so be quick, because you know what they say about Greece; it’s the word (ha ha, get it?).
