GaMeR EP Launch At Ding Dong Lounge

Despite how awesome video games on current consoles like PlayStation 4 or Xbox One are, they simply do not have the charm of the video games of the ’80s, back in the days of the NES. New Zealand act GaMeR are well aware of this and have combined the synthsiser sound to create the instantly catchy tune, and combined that with animated music videos reminiscent of those old school video games to match.

You could think of GaMeR as a Kiwi version of Kraftwork or Daftpunk music wise, but GaMeR also have their music videos and trippy neon lights going off while they play, giving the place an esoteric feeling that only an old video game could produce.

Supported by Odious and Dear Plastic, tickets for GaMeR are $12 at the door, which is way less than a new video game is, so why not step away from your console at home and check these guys out? Once you’re there, you won’t know the difference.
