“This exceptional event is designed to infuse and agitate your deep desires to think and do differently.”

Open Space is set to launch its annual event at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. With a focus on innovative technology, Open Space 2015 is an opportunity to learn about the rapid growth of technology and its power to change lives.

“Watch a space transform before your eyes. Learn to think differently. Be inspired.” These will be the words left with you as Open Space 2015 aims to challenge conventional thinking and leave the audience feeling inspired to go out and create.

Discovery will be the key theme at Open Space 2015 as TED talk regular Rachel Botsman and futurist Chris Riddell take to the stage. Melbournians will have the chance to see “how technology is being harnessed to create a reality that is simply beyond most individual’s imagination,” says Chris Riddell.

Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, innovative technology will be the focus as audience members will be able to enjoy the venue in a dynamic and different light. Each year, Open Space activates a week-long pop up café. This year it will feature furniture made out of reclaimed materials from historical landmarks and buildings across Australia, it will also feature an unconventional skateboard ramp designed for seating.

Open Space 2015 is a free public event and will launch on Thursday, 26 February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf.
