Bad news if you were born in March; it turns out in ancient times March was the month of war. (As in “march”ing on to battle. Haha, get it?). The Italian word for March is Marzo, and both an Italian company and a Japanese company have created Marzo the dance show.

How does something created by people from two very different cultures work? The story is of Italian origin, but the words and the out of this world costumes are very Japanese, essentially living manga characters. The costumes are bright and weird looking as, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Playing as part of the Melbourne Festival, prepare yourself for one wacky play.
