Every boy at one point or another has read a comic book, or at the very least has watched a few movies based on them like Sin City (not the same thing, I know). There’s just something about the bright, vibrant colours that leap off the page and really wow you and draw you into this crazy world. I’ve always felt comic books were undervalued and unfairly deemed as “nerdy”, yet those same people who mock it like the Iron Man movies? Hmmm…

But if you are one of the smart people who appreciate the fine craftsmanship that goes into drawing comic art and would love to have a go at it yourself, then look no further than Comic Art. Lead by comic style artist Aran de Baron, this workshop will teach you how to develop pencil and ink techniques and designing the beautiful scenery your creation’s set in.

So if you’ve always thought about working on a comic book series or a graphic novel, now’s your chance to learn the basics and finally make it happen! And even if what you make on the night isn’t great, you can always go back to the “drawing” board (hehe…).
