Cocktail of the week: Smoke & Stone

Let’s give a warm welcome to the newest young master that should definitely be on your cocktail dance card, the ‘Smoke & Stone’.

Or rather, newest young Mister. Mister Bitters that is. Melbourne based and from the guys behind Lily Blacks, it’s the new quintessential cocktail companion. Not mention it’s the mystery behind the magic of this rich and smoky, aperitif style thirst quencher.

Combining the dry, classic botanicals of West Winds Sabre Gin, with the richness of Apricot Brandy, and the complexity of Lillet Blanc Vermouth, finished off nicely with the lingering smoke and stone fruit flavour of Mister Bitters’ Honeyed Apricot & Smoked Apricot.

Pour 40ml, 20ml, 20ml respectively in to mixing glass, stir, and strain over ice into an old-fashioned glass. For those that fancy cocktail bar flair, flame the oils of an orange zest over the top, and enjoy!
