This weekend keep summer and the good times rolling at the Top Shelf Drinks Festival for a taste of liquor luxury.

For one day only booze boffins will gather en masse at the Royal Exhibition Building for a feast of food, drinks and eventual sore heads. Be prepared to be welcomed with tables full of wines, beers and spirits – from Hungary’s famous Tokaji dessert wines and Burn Stewarts Islay whiskies to Four Pillars gin and Fever Tree mixers.

You’ll also get the chance to hobnob with the brewers, distillers, winemakers and mixologists, while International Bartender of the Year, Jack McGarry from Dead Rabbit, will be in floating around.

Jack’s joined by top malt masters like Buffalo Trace Bourbon’s Harlen Wheatley and Lake Distillery’s Bill Lark.

All that drinking lends itself to eating so food trucks Chingón and Grill Pros’ barbecue masters will be on hand serving up meats, tacos and many a deep fried treat.

Top Shelf is on Feb 9 at the Royal Exhibition Building.
