Photographer of the week: Eleanor Bleier

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, photographer Eleanor Bleier says she produces some her best work from the comfort of her small hometown.

As of late she has been chasing that summer feeling, spending time in Texas working on a farm after a period in the Bay Area. Eleanor will be heading to Chicago for autumn. In her own words she “hasn’t yet found where to rest her bones.”

Aiming to show a more realistic and fluid side to the feminine form, she thinks that photos of females are often too posed and frigid.

Eleanor uses the people she spends time with to inspire her and says her work is a personal documentation of whatever she is trying to hold onto.
