Final year and masters students of Deakin University will showcase their short films at the Astor this Sunday.

In knowing what an awesome pool of talent we have in our little town, I’m sure this will be an endeavour into uncharted territories of surreal nature, as well as some tight shots done on a flimsy budget.

Hopefully, they’ll show that you don’t need a million dollars to make a good flick (although it does help). For further info on purchasing your tics for this, go and check out the Deakin Visionaire Facebook group.

WHEN: Sunday, 11 November, 6:30pm Masters films, 7:30pm 3rd yr films
WHERE: The Astor Theatre, Corner Chapel Street & Dandenong Road, St Kilda

Wicked

Thrillifying, scandalacious and oh-so ozmopolitan, Wicked is a story of female friendship, love, courage and conquering evil, and is quite simply a theatrical spectacle that cannot be missed. Runs until April 28 at Regent Theatre.
