Mungo’s Hi-Fi @ Night Owl

Mungo’s Hi-Fi are dub sound system originators from the United Kingdom. They fuse elements of reggae and dubstep together in the way that it started.
They helped pioneer a sound that emerged around 2005 that was based in roots, and more chilled out and bass-heavy. This was real dub music, compared to the high intensity candyof the more mainstream translation version of dubstep, as represented by artists like Skrillex.
Mungo’s Hi-Fi combine forces with Heartical Hi-Fi, who set up their own custom sound system at the Night Owl, to get that bass meditation just right for your body. Come see what the difference is between the old and new “dub” sounds, and if you’re like me, you’ll go with the old school.
WHEN: Friday, 9 November, 11pm-late
WHERE: Night Owl, 33 Elizabeth Street, Entry via Flinders Court.
