Performance Enhancers Series: The Church’s Steve Kilbey

Many ponder on the secret inner life and influences of musicians. Few present these inner workings with the authenticity of former Church rocker, Steve Kilbey.

Steve Kilbey is ‘regarded as one of Australia’s greatest Renaissance men’, and he’ll discuss the effect that great mythologies have had on his songwriting..

He will discuss a range of archetypes from Roman heroes to Greek deities to Norse monsters in a demystification of myths and song performance that will allow you to scale the heights of Mt Olympus, from the safety of an intimate Hamer Hall audience.

This is part of the Performance Enhancers series, where other artists too will share their cultural influences. The series will  feature Vika & Linda Bull, as well as Clare Bowditch, in coming months at the same venue. Click the web link for more details.
