God of Carnage

There’s a chaotic and anarchic heart to Pop Culture’s latest stage production, Yasmina Reza’s instant classic God of Carnage.
The play is one of the great successes of recent years, playing to acclaim in multiple productions across the world (and across Australia) before its film adaptation last year. Tracing a meeting between two sets of parents—precipitated by a playground altercation between their children—the polished beginnings of the evening devolve as layers of civility and courtesy are peeled back from the ugly, bloody truths they mask.
After a series of excellent short plays and original works with their company Pop Culture, co-founders Jeremy Guzman and Lindsay Pritchard co-produce and co-direct this production in their Melbourne Fringe debut (seriously, what can’t they co-do?). Tickets from $18.
WHEN: Wednesday 3 October – Saturday 6 October, 8.30pm
WHERE: The Theatre Husk, 161a Heidelberg Road, Northcote
