Blind Tasting

After its sold-out season at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, subtlenuance’s intoxicating production of Blind Tasting is trundling into Melbourne next week as part of our very own Fringe.
The one-woman performance won raves for writer-director Paul Gilchrist and Sylvia Keays as Sophie, the wine-selling, wine-swilling centre of the show. It’s part performance and part wine-tasting, blending her story of heartache with a series of samplings throughout the hour.
The show might be an affirmation of why life crises and alcohol make such a winning combination, but it’s also a more thought-provoking piece on the synesthesia of wine and memory.
You can join Sophie for a long talk over a good bottle. Tickets from $15.
WHEN: Fri 28 Sep – Fri 5 Oct. All performances 6.45pm except Sunday at 5.45pm.
WHERE: Fringe Hub @ The Loft, Lithuanian Club. 44 Errol St, North Melbourne
