The Lentil As Anything series of restaurants around Melbourne have become well known for their organic vegetarian fare, as well as for allowing patrons to decide how much to wish to pay for a meal.

The restaurant at the Abbotsford Convent will be hosting the first ever Lentil As Anything Gala Dinner Carnival Extravaganza, promising an evening of food, art and music for attendees. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the important community work the restaurant does in feeding the disadvantaged, along with the training and employment opportunities it provides for migrants to Australia.

With a wide-ranging selection of entertainment including live music, circus acts and Bollywood dancers, and meals inspired by the Lentil cookbook, there are certainly worse ways to show your support for a local community organisation.
