Bicycle Valet Park(ing) Day

PARK(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens rise up and rebel against the scourge of parking meters, and take back space that is rightfully ours as earth residents. CycleStyle and Roll Up Bicycle Valet Parking will be covering our neck of the woods for our enjoyment.

A couple of public parking spaces will be re-conceived as recreational spaces on busy Gertrude Street in Fitzroy, complete with valet bicycle parking and nice cushy grass. Joyce Watts conceived this idea to help the public appreciate the freedom bikes give us folk. Bikes = less congestion, and are better for the environment and your health.

Come to this site and grab yourself a free coffee, and come chill out with the feel of grass between your toes, as you watch the Gertrude scene pass you by.
