Brazilian IndepenDance Day

Free yourself and get independent from the scourge of hair! Sorry, in all seriousness and away from the threat of really crap jokes, it’s Independence Day in Brazil. So how do we celebrate in Brazil? That’s right, DANCE!
Fed Square – specifically Feddie on the Terrace – hosts a Brazilian dance party to equal none. Don your green n’ gold clothes and accessories, samba down the street and getcha booty shakin’ like a Piña Colada, dream those dreams of Rio and let the good times roll into summer.
The Independence Day itself, for the record, celebrates its independence from 322 years of colonial dominance of Portugal over Brazil. But we knew you didn’t need a reason to go party and dance because of a bland historical fact, right?
WHEN: Friday, 7 September, 9pm til late
WHERE: Feddish – River Terrace, Federation Square, opp. Flinders Street Station
