A few weeks ago I watched this YouTube video about how to drink 22 year-old Whiskey.

You should definitely watch it.

But given that life is short and you don’t know me, you may not want to risk wasting 6.21 minutes of your life on my flimsy recommendation. So here is my synopsis of the clip: 60 year-old Scottish sex-bomb, Richard sticks his schnoz into long-stemmed glasses of 22 year-old Scotch Whiskey, chucks a fair bit of it on the carpet with theatrical nonchalance, disses incompetent bar tenders, and explains how to achieve a ‘multiple orgasm’ by quaffing the ‘liquid gold’ in combination with coffee and 86% dark chocolate.

It really is bloody excellent.

Much to my surprise, I have just discovered that Richard is not an actor and the video is not a parody. In fact, he is the Master Blender at Whyte and Mackay in Scotland and what’s more, he will be hosting, via Skype, a tasting at Chez Regine’s next Single Malt Collective meeting in Melbourne!! Wow. This coincidence is actually blowing my mind.

Head along to Chez Regine for a taste of Richard. Oh, and 5 malts from both the Dalmore and Isle of Jura distilleries.
