The North Melbourne Designer’s Market

On a certain Sunday each month, the North Melbourne Market winks into being and showcases the latest work from some our finest emerging artists and designers. With over 70 stalls selling the latest in art and fashion from workshops around the city, the bohemian underbelly of Melbourne takes over and transforms the Lithuanian Club in North Melbourne. “Bohemians invade Lithuania,” the market’s flyers would blare, in the parallel universe where geopolitical humour is a solid crowd-pleaser.

The wares range from original and handmade jewellery to retro fabrics and prints, artworks and confectionery, homewares, craft, accessories, vintage clothing, and locally made designer ware. Admission to the market is $2 in August, but is free when it partners with Spring Fashion Week on Sunday 9 September, and with the Errol Street Spring Fling Festival on Sunday 21 October.

WHEN: Sunday 19 August, Sunday 9 September, Sunday 21 October, 10am – 3pm
WHERE: The Lithuanian Club, 44 Errol Street, North Melbourne
