Australia’s finest DJs come to flex their skills in a battle for supremacy at the DMC national championships this Saturday night.

Technology’s come a long way from just two turntables and regular wax (vinyl, records, whatever), so now all competitors have their choice of medium (Serato, Traktor, etc) and mixers. In the end, it all comes back to vinyl and two turntables, scratching, performing and just sounding as dope as possible within six minutes heats.

It’ll be mostly hip-hop styles, and the winner will be flown to London to represent Australia for world supremacy. For DJs, it’s like fuck the olympics, music and cuts are real sport, right here, right now.

A demo will be delivered by DJ Dexter to set the bar and the night will be hosted by Reason.
