The Omega Quest

Today I felt a little entrenched in the deep bog of trendy fads espoused by the self-satisfied mainstream masses. So I turned to wikiHow for advice on how to be a nerd.
This most reliable source proffered some vague but invaluable tips, including: be unique; be willing to commit intensely; embrace niche interests in entertainment and gravitate toward the grey areas (a wealth of untapped potential) instead of the black and white.
I reckon one guy who has got nerdism down-pat is the writer and director of The Omega Quest.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that sci-fi action romance in the style of 17th Century Japanese “Banruku” puppetry is niche, and a superb manifestation of hybrid nerd culture. Traversing sci-fi, drama, music, literature and science nerdism, this visual epic melds cinematic and stage tropes in a remount of the sell-out “Space Opera”, originally performed at the 2010 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
WHEN: Tuesday,14 August to Sunday 19 August (and 1:30pm matinee Thurs – Sun), 8pm open
WHERE: Revolt Theatre, 12 Elizabeth Street, Kensington
