Penfolds Re-corking Clinics

Returning for its eleventh year, the free Penfolds bi-annual corking clinics will take place in Melbourne in an Australian/American tour. If you have a Penfolds bottle of red wine aged fifteen years or more, you’re welcome to walk in to see how your wine’s faring – whether it can continue to be cellared, or if it is on the turn.

Penfolds is associated with fine red wines, so it doesn’t matter which of its reds you bring in. Penfolds winemakers will visually inspect the wine, open if necessary to assess quality, top up (if appropriate), certify and re-capsule bottles on consultation. More than a wine health-check, appointment affords the opportunity to meet the maker, recount the wine’s ‘story’, discuss drinking windows and cellaring tips. Experts from leading Australian wine auction house, Langton’s, are available to investigate investment value of prized wine, family heirlooms and investments.
